If you are looking for a recycle hood and wan to maximize storage space by adding cabinets above your hood or concealing your hood with cabinet, FUJIOH FR-FS2290 is your best choice. Regular Chimney hood suction power is too strong, generating too much wind disturbance. Chimney hoods will direct wind upward directly into your cabinets, there is no space for the air to ventilate unless you open a big hole at the top of the cabinet for the wind to escape. However, most customers install the cabinets as full height leaving no space for wind to come out from the top of the cabinet. To overcome this, a slim hood is more suitable as slim hood blows wind to the front of kitchen cabinet instead of upwards directly into the cabinet. However, slim hood has low suction power due to the slim design and small motor. Fujioh FR-FS2290 is using chimney designed motor for better suction power and that is why the hood is bigger compared to regular slim hood.
